Feedback from selected candidates
During my PhasAGE Staff Exchange, I had the opportunity to experience a lot of things, meet new people, learn new techniques, and learn different ways of doing experiments I’d done before, all of which contributed to the growth of my knowledge and enriched my life and my Master’s thesis project, all while testing my capacity to adapt to a new laboratory. I strongly encourage all the students to embrace this fantastic opportunity.
Participating in the PhasAGE Staff Exchange programme was an amazing opportunity. I became familiar with new techniques and was able to collaborate with and learn from the team at the Tompa Lab. I look forward to applying what I've learned to continue my research project.
During my Staff Exchange I had the opportunity to learn how to express and purify a protein. In particular, thanks to the collaboration with Sandra Ribeiro and the Biochemical and Biophysical Technologies facility at i3s I was able to purify my protein of interest. This was a fantastic experience and opened new perspectives for my postdoc research projects. I strongly encourage people to take advantage of this opportunity.
