Training schools
The Training Schools are integrated into an international training program directed to early stage researchers and junior researchers proposed in Work Package 2 “Training and Mentoring for Career Development”. The training schools are made up of 5 days of training organized alternately by each of the institutions of the PhasAGE consortium.
Five training schools will be organized to train participants on theoretical and experimental aspects of phase transitions and to explore new scientific and technological developments in the field. All the Training Schools will include a mentorship programme with mentoring and career development activities.
The Training Schools are open to the national and international scientific community but access to the practical sessions will be limited to ensure active participation between mentees and teaching staff (mentors).
Feedback from participants
"I liked the topics of the seminars and the way speakers started from basics before diving into more details. I like the new techniques used in the practical sessions as well."
"Getting to know the different techniques that are used for studying phase separation that I can apply to my own research. It also allowed me to get in contact with experts on the field that my research work is focused on."
"I enjoy learning the different type of aggregations in protein. I am currently working in drug design and knowing the HTS and how the results are being analyzed and validated that made me lore appreciative about protein aggregation. I find it also holistic thru the inclusion of career development. I would love to see the current approach to design drug candidates for amyloids and the challenges, perhaps."
I enjoyed the most the network opportunities. It was fascinating to have so many new perspectives and exchange new ideas with researchers at different career stages. The talks from the experts were incredible as well as the interview about the transition to industry and the ethics session.
